My son amazed me today.
He read "Leaf Season" to me, out loud, front to back. It's the first book he's ever read. It's easily a second grade level book. I am in awe of him. He starts kindergarten in the fall. This book had words like "replied", "apartment", and "delicious" in it. I am so impressed. I think I will take him to Barnes & Nobles tomorrow and let him pick out a book (that he can read) of his choice, just to celebrate this amazing achievement. I had no idea he was capable of that. This morning at lunch he read Sarah's fortune cookie to her "Think of what you will thinnk of 10 years from now." He is an amazing little guy.
